Ballouneh

The word Ballouneh may derive from the Syriac word ballani/ballana meaning bathroom or from the name of the Greek god Apollo. Ballouneh is famous for its Roman well, church of St. Mary dating over 500 years, and the house of prince Fakhr El Dine(where he was raised as a child). 17 km from jounieh , 27 km from beirut ,550->700m from the sea , beautiful village , peaceful, its the most wonderful village in the world!!!!
